Reverse Cultural Appropriation?

People will try to counter argue Cultural Appropriation with the premise that Black Women appropriate White hair.

This argument largely overlooks the context of White Supremacy based on the assumption of Social Equality. White supremacy has been imposed so much onto minorities to the point that they have to assimilate to survive.

Assimilation is to take on the traits of the dominant culture, compelled through force or undertaken voluntarily to be accepted in society or simply to survive. Black women couldn’t gain employment if their natural kinky hair wasn’t straightened, meaning they can’t provide for their families, therefore they had to assimilate. Minority children are brainwashed through TV, magazines and incomplete history books to believe they are inferior to their White peers, Black girls are told that their hair is too nappy and short and that their skin is too dark to be beautiful so they ASSIMILATE by getting perms and lighting their skin and doing all the things that society deems as beautiful.

This has been passed down through generations and has not only caused a mental indoctrination in our Black community but also one of the main causes for Colourism. Black women assimilate to survive whereas Black culture and hair is appropriated for pleasure.

Skin bleaching is another insulting counter argument that people try to use as Black people would use skin bleaching products to achieve whiter skin however they did so because they believed bleaching was a way out of their suffering as if they look more like those in power, they rise to their level. So no there is no such thing as reverse cultural appropriation, we are made to assimilate and put white culture on a pedestal, we live in a systemically oppressive society that yearns for white supremacy.
